Privacy Policy

1. Who operates OpenVisa

OpenVisa is operated by HackSonDev LLC. For privacy questions or data-related requests, contact support@hacksondev.com.

2. Information we process

OpenVisa may process:

• Your selected language and general anonymous-profile choices.
• Microphone audio, transcripts, and responses generated during the session.
• Technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as IP address, browser, device, date, session duration, and error logs.

We do not request names, passport numbers, case numbers, addresses, phone numbers, personal email addresses, banking information, or documents. If you voluntarily speak such information, it may become part of the content processed during the session.

3. How we use information

• Provide the B1/B2 interview simulation.
• Generate questions, follow-ups, and an educational report.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose errors.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use the session to determine, guarantee, or predict the outcome of a visa application.

4. Processing through OpenAI

The voice experience uses the OpenAI API. Audio, transcripts, anonymous-profile context, and necessary responses are transmitted to OpenAI to provide the service. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default unless the customer opts in. Its abuse-monitoring logs may retain certain customer content for up to 30 days by default, unless different controls or legal requirements apply. See OpenAI API data controls.

5. Voluntary support and Stripe

If you choose to support OpenVisa, you will be redirected to a payment page hosted by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes the information needed to complete the transaction, such as your email address, payment method, country, and technical information, under its Privacy Policy. HackSonDev LLC receives confirmation and basic transaction details, but does not receive your full card number. Payment is optional and processed separately from your anonymous practice session.

6. Retention

OpenVisa does not intentionally create a database of interview audio, transcripts, or reports. Content remains in the browser session while necessary to provide the practice. Infrastructure, AI, and payment providers may retain information under their policies, security measures, and legal obligations.

7. Legal basis and consent

We process audio and answers because you requested the simulator and accepted this policy and the Terms of Use before enabling your microphone. You may withdraw consent by ending the session, although this does not affect processing already completed.

8. Transfers and providers

Technology providers may process information outside your country of residence, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to limit transmitted information to what is needed to operate the service.

9. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request information, access, correction, objection, or deletion of personal data under our control. Because sessions are anonymous and OpenVisa keeps no history, we may be unable to associate a past session with a specific person.

10. Minors

OpenVisa is not intended for people under 18 using the service without authorization and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted transmission, keeping the API key outside the browser, and data minimization. No Internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.

12. Cookies and analytics

The current version does not intentionally use advertising cookies or sell personal data. If we add analytics, advertising, or other non-essential technologies, we will update this policy and provide appropriate consent controls.

13. Changes

We may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the effective date on this page.
